• Rido: Madison? Why do you just have a knife with you?

• Madison: You really didn't know? This has been my everyday carry knife for the past 8 years.

• Rido: But you're only 14 years old.

• Madison: Yes. And this has been my everyday carry knife for the past 8 years.

Carly Madison Ravenswood (formerly known as Rupert Anthony Ravenswood prior to her transition) is a middle school student from the Wormwood neighborhood of Edge City. Her best friend is Rido Sterling, and she is the only person other than Baby Blue he has confided in about his psychic powers.

Friendship with Rido

Madison's best friend since childhood has been Rido Sterling, who lives directly across the street. She is definitely not his girlfriend. After the incident at Leawood Memorial Hospital, Rido confided in Madison about his newly-acquired psychic powers. The two soon discovered they could establish a "mindlink" to communicate telepathically, which Rido seemingly cannot do with anyone else. She's still not his girlfriend, though. Shut up.

Madison and Rido were devastated to learn that Madison's family will be moving away at the end of the summer.

When school is not in session, Madison and Rido play as part of a garage band, Wormwood Avenue, with Madison as drummer and lead vocalist and Rido as guitarist. They typically rehearse in Madison's basement. Madison and Rido have yet to perform at a public venue, but their goal is to book at least one gig before Madison has to leave Wormwood.
