Ackerman "Baby Blue" Dodridge is the owner and operator of Ante Meridiem Electronics, a used electronics shop in the Wormwood neighborhood of Edge City.

Appearance

Baby Blue has a short stature and youthful facial features, resembling a 12-year-old child. Her childlike impression is reinforced by her usual attire, a blue sailor suit resembling a school uniform, from which her nickname derives. Despite her youthful appearance, however, Baby Blue is an adult woman, and often tells other adults she is "old enough to be your mother."

On a typical day, Baby Blue can be seen wearing three wristwatches on her left wrist and one on her right wrist, each a different style, as well as a digital stopwatch hanging around her neck. None of her watches seem to be set to same time, and none of them reflect the accurate time in any time zone, much less Edge City.

Baby Blue tends to behave in a high-spirited, mercurial manner, in keeping with her childlike appearance.

Residence

Baby Blue resides in a small studio apartment located at 221 South Baker Street, Unit B. Nearly every wall and surface in Baby Blue's apartment is covered in clocks, each one set to a different time. Baby Blue claims exactly one clock is set to the local time in Edge City, but nobody has yet been able to figure out which one.

Other features of Baby Blue's apartment include an unsettlingly loud window air conditioner, a bookshelf loaded so heavily with various volumes it appears to be on the verge of collapse, and an old CRT television set, complete with faux woodgrain, plugged into a questionable-looking coaxial cable hanging down from the ceiling.

Baby Blue is the owner and operator of Ante Meridiem Electronics (AME), a small used electronics shop located in uptown Edge City.

Personal life

Baby Blue drives a large black SUV that makes her look amusingly small in comparison. She is known to carry a Makarov pistol, though nobody is quite sure if it's a real gun or a very convincing prop, since nobody has ever seen her actually fire it.

Baby Blue's favorite soft drink is Diet Faygo. She is rarely seen without a bottle of Diet Faygo in her hands or in the cupholder of her SUV.
