The University of Centralia

The University of Centralia (UCen) is the primary public university system of Centralia.

Campuses

The University of Centralia has six campuses, each serving a different region.

Colerain

The flagship of the UCen system, The University of Centralia at Colerain is the largest of the UCen campuses both by enrollment and by geographical area.

The primary thoroughfare of the Colerain campus is University Avenue, part of C-40. The underpass carrying University Avenue under the railway near the university's power plant is infamous for its low clearance of 3.8 meters (12'4"), which has led to frequent collisions despite ample signage warning drivers of taller vehicles. Students have made a sport of watching trucks hit the underpass, often shouting "We got one, boys!" when a truck proceeds through the nearby traffic signal.

The mascot of UCen Colerain is the Double Horse, a nonsense animal that has never existed and never will. Because double horses don't exist, nobody knows what the mascot actually looks like.

Queen City

The University of Centralia at Queen City, nicknamed yusey-cusey, serves Centralia's capital city. Despite being located in Centralia's most populous city, UCQC is significantly smaller than UCen Colerain.
