The Tranquility Guardians are a magical girl warrior duo consisting of Guardian Starshine and Guardian Moonlight. In their civilian identities as Stella Étoile and Luna Selene, they are eighth grade students at Dame Adorabelle's Academy in Havensborough.

The Guardians' true identities are not exactly a closely-guarded secret. Almost everyone at Dame A's knows that Stella and Luna are Starshine and Moonlight.
