Grand Central Parkway is an urban boulevard in northern Queen City serving the Sherbet Shopping District. It is a former alignment of Centralia Highway 9.
Grand Central Parkway was constructed concurrently with the expansion of the Sherbet Shopping District. The southern portion of the parkway replaced the former Cemetery Street, while the northern portion replaced the former Madison Street. A short stretch of the parkway was constructed along a new alignment to connect the two existing alignments and bypass the nearby Bixby Cemetery. Short portions of both Cemetery Street and Madison Street still exist, discontinuous from Grand Central Parkway.
Centralia Highway 9 previously followed Grand Central Parkway. This designation was removed when the adjacent Northeast Freeway was constructed late in Princess Meredith's reign.
Princess Alice claims the traffic light in her Stellar Nursery at the Palace of Serenity previously stood over Grand Central Parkway before being replaced during one of the parkway's many reconstruction projects.
