Rory: What’s up with Rudolf? I haven't seen him this down since that one time Stella died!
Stella: Why does everybody keep saying it was just the one time??
Stella Winterborn (played by Suletta Marsbury) is the protagonist of the Centralian supernatural teen drama Stellar. She is a high school student from the town of New Salem who discovers she is a witch prophesied to save humanity from a coming "calamity".
Stella's primary love interest in the series is her childhood friend and classmate Rudolf Ravenwood, played by Queen City actor Alistair R. Ravenwood.
Witchcraft
Stella's spellcasting implement is crafted from a branch blown off a tree during a storm on the night she was born, Friday, March 13th. At 30 inches (76 centimeters), there's some confusion over whether it should be considered a wand or a staff, with Stella herself often using both terms interchangeably. A prominent running gag throughout the series is the tendency of one-off characters to question Stella's choice of terminology.
Stella has a habit of fidgeting with her wand as a stim toy. This has sometimes resulted in Stella inadvertently casting spells by allowing her mind to wander while idly flipping her wand in her hand.
The Prophecy
Stella's character arc focuses on her escalating grandiosity. Knowing she is destined to save humanity, Stella comes to believe she is the most important person in the world, and by extension, the most powerful person in the world. In the season's penultimate episode, Stella, having openly defied the Witches Council and alienated both Rudolf and Xandra, faces a final confrontation with Millennium on a rainy summer night.
Stella: It doesn't matter what Rudolf says. It doesn't matter what anyone says! I am the most powerful witch in the world. No...I am the most powerful of anything in this world, period! There is nothing I cannot do.{: list-style-type="no-bullet"}
Millennium: Is that so? Kill me, then. {: list-style-type="no-bullet"}
Stella: What?{: list-style-type="no-bullet"}
Millennium: If there is nothing you cannot do, destroying an omnipotent, eternal, omnipresent entity shouldn't be a problem for you. Prove it. Kill me.{: list-style-type="no-bullet"}
(Stella raises her wand and takes aim at Millennium, but hesitates, shaking a little.)
Millennium: Go on. Hit me with all you've got. I'm a big girl.{: list-style-type="no-bullet"}
In the final shot of the episode, Stella is shown steadying her hand and taking aim at Millennium again. A flash of white light is seen before immediately cutting to closing credits.
The season finale opens with Stella, much to her confusion, waking up in her bed to find herself in an alternate reality where she was never a witch and has no supernatural powers. The episode culminates with Stella, having learned her lesson, selflessly sacrificing her life to save Xandra from an attack by Marlowe St. Vincent. As Stella collapses to the ground, she suddenly finds herself back on that rainy summer night, her wand still pointed at Millennium.
- Millennium: Well?{: list-style-type="no-bullet"}
Stella slowly lowers her wand and begins trudging away through the gradually flooding street. Writer C. Madison Ravenswood noted that the ending intentionally leaves unanswered the question of whether Stella would have been able to kill Millennium had she chosen to do so. comment

Stella: I've acquired a powerful new concoction. It enhances focus, boosts energy and alertness, and suppresses appetite. It's extremely potent and must only be used with strict caution.
Laura: Your psychiatrist wrote you an Adderall prescription again.
Stella: That's a rather common name for it, yes.

Stella: What do you mean, my learner's permit expired?
BMV clerk: You have one year from the date of issuance to take the final test. It's been 15 months.
Stella: Can't you make some kind of exception? I feel like I have extenuating circumstances...
BMV clerk: I'm sorry, Miss Winterborn, I can't make an exception. That wouldn't be fair to everyone else. Why didn't you take the test three months ago?
Stella: I was dead. Make a goddamn exception!
BMV clerk: I can't do that, Ms. Winterborn. Making an exception wouldn't be fair to all the other dead people.
Stella: Listen here, bub. You wanna talk about unfair? I'll show you—
