Roosevelt Aashto is a fictional character from the Centralian TV series Stellar. As a prominent private detective in the 1980s, he investigated The Inquisitors and attempted to infiltrate their ranks.
The Aashto family lost contact with Roosevelt in 198X. Decades later, his granddaughter Laura Aashto, with the backing of the Witches Council, took it upon herself to continue Roosevelt's unfinished investigation.
The episode "Aashto to Ashes" revealed that Roosevelt, after infiltrating The Inquisitors, cut contact with his family for fear of their safety, subsequently establishing Roy's Diner in New Salem as a means of keeping close watch over Laura without her knowing about his past. ("Roy" was Cassandra's affectionate shortening of "Roosevelt".)
