CA Makertplace announces end of Tumblr partnership

RAVENWOOD—Centralia's largest supermarket chain, CA Marketplace, announced Monday afternoon that its 7-year partnership with social media website Tumblr is coming to an end.

Launched in 2011, the partnership was the first of its kind, allowing Tumblr users to reblog coupons on the social media site to receive additional discounts at the grocery stores of the same name.

CA Markeplace operates four stores under the Tumblr brand, located in Queen City, Colerain, Maresville, and Buttercup Bay. All four stores are expected to remain open, though they will be converted to the CA Marketplace brand. The four locations will continue to accept reblogged coupons through 17 December 2018.

Oath, parent company of Tumblr, declined to comment.
