Hybris's wristwatch

Hybris possesses a silver wristwatch, which she inherited from her mother following her murder 8 years ago, when Hybris was 7 years old.

The watch has been a pivotal clue in several mysteries, all of which Hybris was able to solve due to her innate detective powers. She really is a genius, right? Right?

The back of the watch features an engraved emblem of a horse and lettering indicating its place of manufacture as Riverside, Centralia. Presumably the Centralian jeweler who built the watch is not part of a centuries-old conspiracy involving horses and a cult called the Equestrianists. It would be weird if she was.
