Freedom To Suck Act

The Freedom To Suck Act is a parliamentary bill introduced by Princess Alice that would legalize the possession and sale of lollipops over 300 mm in diameter.

While prominent voices in the Centralian confectionery industry support the legislation, the Freedom To Suck Act faces firm opposition from Ludomera Lucknovic de Mahoning-Hokendaqua's "Mahoning clique", as well as the Centralian No Math Party. The latter is kind of confusing, because you'd think people who hate math would want to be able to stop calculating the diameters of their lollipops. I guess maybe they're more into bubblegum. Are there any bills about bubblegum yet?

Why Princess Alice, being a literally omnipotent absolute monarch, does not simply enact the law unilaterally remains an open question, as does why anybody even cares, given that nearly all Centralian law scholars agree that no policies restricting the possession or sale of lollipops based on size are currently in place--or ever have been, for that matter.
