Madeline Powers is the chief of police of the Zeoria Institute of Technology in Bowling Green, Lakeland.
Powers has come to dread Hybris's weekend visits to ZIT, as a new homicide case seems to occur any time Hybris is present. She often contemplates banning Hybris from the campus, but ultimately decides not to go through with it, because Hybris is the only person who's managed to solve her toughest cases.
