Sapphire Sterling is an 8-year-old elementary school student from the Wormwood neighborhood of Edge City.

Sapphire is the younger sister of Rido Sterling, the 14-year-old boy who was inadvertently given psychic powers in an IRIS experiment gone wrong. Rido believes Sapphire is unaware of his powers, but in reality, she figured out the truth shortly after the inciting incident. Unbeknownst to Rido, Sapphire has repeatedly misled IRIS goons in a deliberate effort to keep them away from her brother.
