Grand Central Parkway is an urban boulevard in northern Queen City serving the Sherbet Shopping District. It is a former alignment of Centralia Highway 9.
History
Grand Central Parkway was constructed concurrently with the expansion of the Sherbet Shopping District. The southern portion of Grand Central Parkway replaced the former Cemetery Street, while the northern portion replaced the former Chittenden Street. A short stretch of parkway was constructed along a new alignment to connect the two existing alignments and bypass the nearby Bixby Cemetery. Short portions of both Cemetery Street and Chittenden Street still exist, discontinuous from Grand Central Parkway.
Centralia Highway 9 previously followed Grand Central Parkway. This designation was removed when the adjacent Catgirl Freeway was constructed late in Princess Meredith's reign.
