Nyx Stefanović Slaughter (nicknamed Stevie by her husband Khan) was a literature teacher at Jessica Fletcher Memorial High School in Sterling Township.
Nyx and her husband Khan Mann were found dead days after receiving the Book of Equestrianism from her sister, Minerva Park. Nyx's then-7-year-old daughter, Hybris, was able to deduce the identity of her parents' killer, who was subsequently apprehended by Sheriff Mercury. Despite this, Hybris continues to believe that the killer was not a lone actor but was in fact working on behalf of a shady cult...she just doesn't have any proof yet.
