== Plot summary ==
The inhabitants of [[New Salem]] wake up one day to find themselves compulsively singing and dancing, as if in a Broadway musical. To their surprise, [[Stella Winterborn|Stella]], [[Rudolf Ravenwood|Rudolf]], and [[Xandra]] seem to be the only three people who recognize that this is unusual. The trio consults the [[Witches Council]] to determine whether Stella's exceptional power could be leveraged to lift the curse, but the Council concludes that there is no curse—this is simply the way the world has always worked. Stella realizes [[Millennium (Stellar)|Millennium]], a mysterious cosmic entity with the ability to rewrite reality to her whims, must be responsible.
Stella, Rudolf, and Xandra confer with [[Laura Aashto|Laura]] at the [[New Salem High School]] library to devise a plan to convince Millennium to change the world back to the way it used to be. Laura concludes that Millennium likely turned the world into a musical production to alleviate the existential boredom of having seen the entirety of time and space. Stella realizes that the only way to persuade Millennium to set things back to normal is not to fight her, nor to even attempt to negotiate with her, but to ''satisfy'' her.
Rudolf and Xandra help gather the people of New Salem to gather in the town's public square, where Stella leads them in one final grandiose ensemble number. Millennium, having conjured a throne in the town square to watch, initially appears unamused, but she slowly begins tapping her foot, and eventually she becomes so enthralled with the performance that she stands up and joins in. When the performance wraps up, Millennium says "Alright. You win."
A post-credits sequence shows the townspeople of New Salem wandering around the public square in confusion, unsure of how they got there or why they're there. They all disperse to return to their normal lives.
== Production ==
All singing was performed by the characters' usual actors. [[Katherine Lee Hayes]] requested that [[C. Madison Ravenswood]] dub her songs with a professional singer, but ultimately agreed to do her own singing. When asked about the episode by a fan at [[AsteriCon]], Hayes said "I wish I had pushed Madison harder on that. At least told her a ''solo number'' was a no-go."
[[Zeor]] pop musician [[M3L1SSA]] had an uncredited cameo as a background singer during Rudolf's romantic confession number. [[Carly Ravenswood|Carly Robin Ravenswood]] appears as [[Rory Pike]] but does not sing, which many fans found disappointing.
