The Book of Equestrianism is a mysterious book of unknown authorship. The book's contents, while recognizable as coherent language, are encrypted with an unknown cipher.
History
Nearly a decade ago, IRIS agent Minerva Park spent several months attempting to decipher the Book of Equestrianism. Upon noticing her efforts were attracting unwanted attention, Minerva transferred possession of the book to her sister, Nyx Slaughter, who lived with her husband Khan Mann and their daughter Hybris in Sterling Township in Lakeland, Zeoria.
Nyx and Khan were found dead in their home at 221 W. Baker Street mere days after receiving the book. Minerva, unwilling to risk potentially exposing her IRIS affiliation by interfering in a homicide investigation in a foreign country, was unable to recover the book.
Nyx's daughter Hybris, then 7 years old, found the Book of Equestrianism among Nyx's belongings shortly after catching her parents' killer. To this day, Hybris holds the book to be evidence of a greater conspiracy surrounding the murders, though she is yet to find sufficient evidence to bring a case to the police.
Minerva remains unaware that the Book of Equestrianism is presently in Hybris's possession.
