Cloverleaf Mall was an enclosed shopping mall in the SouthHarmony neighorhood of QueenCity, Centralia. The mall opened in 1966 and remained in operation for roughly three decades. After years of declining patronage in the late 1990s, Cloverleaf Mall was closed to the public on 31 December 2000. The structure has stood abandoned ever since.
Location
Cloverleaf Mall is located near the interchange of C-200 (Queen City Beltway) and C-2. The Cloverleaf Mall property is bounded by Salem Road to the north, Caldwell Road to the east, Mendenhall Road to the south, and Cloverleaf Square West to the west.
Two traffic signals operational when the mall was open for business have since been decommissioned. The first was at the intersection of Salem Road and Cloverleaf Square West, since converted to an all-way stop, with the signals remaining in flashing red mode. The second was at the intersection of Cloverleaf Square West and Mendenhall Road; these signal heads were removed when a stop sign was installed for Cloverleaf Square, but the poles and span wires remain in place to accommodate future redevelopment.
