The primary thoroughfare of the Colerain campus is University Avenue, part of C-44. The underpass carrying University Avenue under the railway near the university's power plant is infamous for its low clearance of 3.8 meters (12'4"), which has led to frequent collisions despite ample signage warning drivers of taller vehicles. Students have made a sport of watching trucks hit the underpass, often shouting "We got one, boys!" when a truck proceeds through the nearby traffic signal.
